Quickstart — your first connector in one sitting
The 7 steps
- Log in to the console. If you don't have a workspace yet, you'll be
asked to create your organization first — you become its owner automatically, with a 14-day trial (3 seats, 2 projects).
- Start the guided tour from the Projects empty state (or
/onboarding).
Name your project and bring your API: paste spec text, upload a JSON/YAML file, or give us a URL. See Importing your API for every supported format.
- Review the proposed tools. The service imports your spec, scores the
documentation, and proposes one tool per operation. Edit names and descriptions, then approve each tool. Nothing publishes until the review queue is empty.
- Attach credentials for key-protected tools. If your API needs a key,
add it in the credentials panel — keys are encrypted with KMS envelope encryption and never appear in artifacts or logs. See Credentials.
- Run evaluation. Enqueue an eval from the Evaluate screen; jobs run in
the background with per-tool progress. Read every suite result, fix what fails, and re-run. See Understanding eval.
- Cut a release and publish. Approve → release lands in staging →
promote to prod (requires a passing certification). Publishing hands you an MCP server for Claude and function-calling / GPT Actions artifacts for OpenAI. See Publishing.
- Watch it in Operate. Telemetry, drift alerts, gateway keys, and usage
live on the Operate screens. See Operate.
Roles
Your workspace has three roles: Owner (billing, team, delete), Editor (full project powers short of customer admin), and Viewer (read-only — the console hides or explains any action you can't take).
Plans
The Starter tier is free (5 projects, 3 months of telemetry). Growth (25 projects, 6 months) and Scale (unlimited, 12 months) are early-access only right now — write to hello@connectorfoundry.com to ask about them. Plan limits are visible in the console and enforced, never a surprise: over-plan telemetry windows show a locked state, and project creation blocks with an upgrade nudge at your cap.
